2061 Part 2 : One drop Chef

On the second part of the project we had to come up with a future based on a 4 axis graph. Based on that, we decided to go for a world with "high tech" and "sustainability", where people were over worked and had no time for cooking, for which we had to create a product. That product came to be "One Drop Chef", a multi purpose superfood enhancer that would add nutrition, colour, and a brand flavour, however it would highly chemical.

Male - 40 years
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
Yes he checks ingredients, taking in consideration the value of nutrition and because of wanting to lose weight.

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
He would be interested in the product if it were to be certified and if a lot of people were consuming the product.

Male- 56
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
He doesn't check the ingredients.

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
He would love have the product.

Male-?
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
He checks the ingredients

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
He said that it would depend on the flavour and if it were to be worth it for him.

Would you pay for the convenience at the cost of not understanding what your eating?
In a situation were he might be in a hurry he would probably just take the product for quickness.

Female-?
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
She never thought of checking the ingredients of things that she consumes.

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
She would never buy it.

Would you pay for the convenience at the cost of not understanding what your eating?
She would trust it if it were to be official.

Female-?

Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
She never looks at the ingredients, but she tries.

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
No, but it depends on wether she s sure if it is healthy.

Would you pay for the convenience at the cost of not understanding what your eating?
No,but she agrees that we do buy things all the time for their convenience.

Male-?
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
"Hell no" - he says.

Would you be interested in the concept of injecting concentrated flavour into your food?
"Yeh, why not?"

Would you pay for the convenience at the cost of not understanding what your eating?
He says yes - "Just don't think too much about it".

Female-?
Do you often check the ingredients of the products you buy?
She checks sometimes when she has her glasses which are really tiny.

Would you pay for the convenience at the cost of not understanding what your eating?
No, because she would like to know what is in it. Due to the fact that some ingredients have secondary effects.

Final posters for the product.

2061 Project Part 1

For this project I joined up with 4 people to make a group. During our discussion about the people we had interviewed, we decided to concentrate ourselves in the homeless community.
After some brainstorming and predictions for what the homeless community would be in 2061 if it were to continue, we speculated that most of the population would become homeless and not only separate itself from the industrialised city, we also speculated that homelessessness would become a word with a different meaning, we speculated that it would become something good. A community that shares its goods with each other, a community based on unity, kindness and care that we identified the homeless community of today.

After my "manifesto":

I think we are going a bit off track we need to concentrate more on the future and what our homeless community would need to sustain itself:
We would be talking about how we would manage:
Education, We would need a survival kit? teach people how to live off the earth, and teach(or already know) what we can take from the world around us to eat?
Medical Health, how would we take care of each other in these terms, would we look for people among us with these kind of skills?
We would be away from the city but we would still be affected by the effects of people still trying to live in the city( producing fumes, using resources) causing more problems for our community, corrupting our lands and our resources.
These corruption or toxins would unleash a virus or mutation on a living being( plants, rats...)?
Think of how we would be working together, and be willing to sacrifice ourselves to do more than the jobs that are assign to everyone in the community. Having "Versatility" has our Motto. People taking care of more than one job.
People with a different kind of attitude(being it a new time) as futurism had its attitude overtaken by people influenced by it. Ready, willing, versatile.
Having these points made, what would be our symbol? our logo? how would we identify members of our community? and being that it would be a big number of people living together( maybe more than 4 billion people), how would we pass on information and keep everyone updated on events?
Would there still be technology? would we be using it?

Things took another turn, and our community no longer separated itself from the city. Presuming that the city would keep on with its over industrialised mode of production that would affect our lands due to their release of toxins and waste. So, we rejoined the city but in the underground so that we could eventually acquire more strength and finally from out of our seeds and spread our green glow over the eyes of those with wrong ways.

So, I came up with the following designs:

"We are underground but someday we ll break through the concrete and show our ways"

We chose rats as our mascots due to their bad reputation of being wrongly looked at by society when in truth they are smart, adaptive/versatile animals. Also because of their power to ruin business, as in when rats are found in a restaurant business closes down due to pest problems.
Questioner:
Would you Sustain your life style
IN THE YEAR 2061?

1)        Do you think technology could affect your job in the future?

2)         Have you ever considered the possibility of becoming homeless?

3)        Would you be willing to revert back to a simpler way of life?

4)        Would you be willing to abandon your possessions for a new life?

Female middle aged:
1) Maybe
2) No

The guitar player I drew about a week before:

2)I look from the outside. I see everything changing and being robotisized.
3) Yeh I have been living a simpler life I have been over twelve years on the street. I cried out one day and woke up in a detox centre.
4)What we need the earth provides. See that tree? Its beautiful and what it needs is water, which the earth provides.

Easter Vacations

During easter we were told to research on communitys and interview people related to those communitys in preparation for the 2061 project.
